How POWDERWorks came to be?  The journey started out of personal experiences of Leslie Granberry in her every day life.  One day . . . .

. . . as Leslie was going about her evening ritual of skin care, she was not satisfied with the exfoliating products that she had been trying.  Once again she had a new exfoliate product in her hands and as she cleansed her face with it that particular night she could feel the burning sensation of the product as it sat on her face.  As she spread the product all over her face, neck and decollatage in a circular motion as the package directions had recommended, she felt more of a burning instead of a refreshing and tingling sensation as the box had proudly stated in bold letters on the side of the box that the expensive product had come in, she was unhappy to say the least.  As Leslie cleansed her face quickly with water to remove the burning product, she noticed red whelps starting to appear all over her face.  A red blotchy rash radiating up from her neck and spreading quickly across her face.

She was shocked that this expensive product was causing such and adverse effect, especially since it had declared on the advertising all over the box that it was safe for sensitive skin.  Leslie knew that this product was not good for her sensitive skin or for her daughters.  Frustrated and not able to find an exfoliate that would do the job of exfoliating, but not irritate her sensitive skin in the process had now become a mission, a quest.  She was determined to find a product that would work on her delicate skin and that of her two teenage daughters.

Fast forward several months and Leslie and her husband Mark began the process of working with facial scientific experts that could help them formulate a sensitive skin exfoliate that could be used by both women and men.  Through careful research and testing a formula was created that could do all the things Leslie had been searching for in a skincare exfoliate.  Whalah - POWDERWorks exfoliate was created.
